God’s Word commands those who believe in the LORD Jesus Christ to grow spiritually, and since it is a command, God has not left Christians ignorant about how they are to fulfill this command.
This is why, in His Word, God has given many patterns for spiritual growth. Both spiritual and natural growth is progressive, which is seen in how God describes the Nation of Israel as they journeyed from the land of slavery and bondage to the glorious land of milk and honey or Canaan’s Land because, in Egypt, they were called God’s son; in the wilderness, they were His Church and Espoused Bride; then, in Canaan’s Land, they were known as the LORD’s Bride and the Mother of Nations.
This booklet briefly traces Israel’s journey, giving believers, who want to grow to greater heights in the LORD Jesus Christ, a pattern that shows them how to grow. Today, Jesus leads His followers from the seed stage of growth to a fully developed plant that is capable of reproduction, which is accomplished by the spiritual experiences that believers must have in order to progress to full maturity.
