In the New Testament, Jesus attached some if’s to this Way. In this day in which we live, many people want to pass over the little if’s; they want to receive the blessings and spiritual growth without meeting the conditions.
- In Matthew 17:20,21, Jesus said, “If ye have faith..., ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence, and it shall remove.”
- In Matthew 18:15-20, in so many words, Jesus said, “If you will get rid of disagreements and sin, and agree as one, you will have binding and loosening power in Heaven and in Earth.
- In John 14:14, Jesus said, “If ye shall ask any thing in my Name [not out of your own flesh], I will do it.”
- In John 15:7, Jesus said, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done.”
- In John 14:15 and John 15:14, in so many words, Jesus said, “If you love and do, ye are my friends.”
- First John 5:14 says, “If we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.”
- First John 5:16 says, “If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.”
