When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, wise men traveled from the east to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship him.” It was not just a little star that appeared, but rather the Kingly Star of the House of David, which represents the rule and reign of Jesus Christ. When that Star was revealed to the Wise Men, they saw Jesus as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. In God’s Word, Jesus is likened unto a Star four times. (1) In Numbers 24:15-25, He is called the Star out of Jacob. (2) In First Peter 1:19, He is called the Day Star. (3) In Revelation 2:26-29, He is called the Morning Star. (4) In Revelation 22:16, He is called the Bright and Morning Star.
The Star refers to the prophetic ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. In our growing up in the Lord’s Spiritual Stature, Prophecy is imparted to us at the Laver. When we allow Jesus Christ to shine the Light of God’s sure Word of Prophecy in our heart, He reveals to us those things that need to be taken out of us—anger, hatred, rebellion, that spirit in our flesh that complains and mourns when things do not go our way, that spirit in our flesh that drives us to want to be a big success, and double-mindedness. How wonderful that God provided a Way through the Star out of Jacob, the Day Star, the Morning Star, and the Bright and Morning Star for us to be overcomers. The overcomers who meet the conditions will be able to go into the City—the Heavenly New Jerusalem. Without that City will be those people who bite, backbite, and devour, and sorcerers, whoremongers, murderers, idolaters, and whosever loveth and maketh a lie.
Revelation 22:17 says, “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come.” We cannot say, “Come, Lord Jesus” from the bottom of our soul until we have begun to have a measure of the Star of David formed in our heart.
