The message continues the study of the seventh Statute in the Spiritual Tabernacle from Matthew 5:31,32: “The Sacredness of Marriage” both in the natural realm and in the spiritual realm. It covers the provision that God made in Deuteronomy 22:13-15 to clear the innocent wife who had been accused of natural fornication.

There is natural fornication and spiritual fornication. We must be careful that we do not commit spiritual fornication and spiritual adultery, which is our seeking satisfaction in other things rather than in our Lord. Spiritual fornication and adultery is our giving in to the illegal desires and satisfactions of our flesh. This lesson covers the seven commands that God gave in His Word concerning what our attitude should be toward fornication. He said: (1) Separate from fornication, (2) Flee fornication, (3) Avoid fornication, (4) Commit not fornication, (5) Let not fornication be named among you, (6) Mortify fornication, and (7) Abstain from fornication.

In First Corinthians 10:5-9, Ephesians 5:1-4, Philippians 4:8, Colossians 3:1-6, and First Thessalonians 4:1-3, the Apostle Paul referred not only to the natural fornication but also to the spiritual fornication that Israel committed as an example to us, and he warned us to resist the spirit of spiritual and natural fornication and to keep our hearts clean and pure before the LORD because fornication—our lusting after evil things—can mean death to us.
