This message continues the study of Abraham. It reviews the stature of Abram’s experiences with Jehovah: (1) Jehovah brought separation, (2) Jehovah gave the Promise, (3) Jehovah delivered, and (4) Jehovah gave Abram a new vision of the Cross. It reviews the stature of Abram’s experiences with El El-yone, the Most High God, Who: (1) Revealed Himself as a Shield, (2) Revealed Himself as a Rewarder, (3) Revealed Himself as Ad-o-noy, Lord, Husband, and (4) Revealed Himself as God with a Threefold Nature. Then, it covers the stature of Abram’s experiences with Almighty God, El Shadday, the Breasted God: (1) Almighty God gave him a new name, (2) Almighty God revealed the Promises of His Will, (3) Almighty God revealed His Covenant of Circumcision, and (4) Almighty God revealed that He Judges.
This lesson gives the stature of God’s Covenant with Abraham, which was: (1) A Covenant for Possession of the Land, (2) A Personal Covenant, (3) An Everlasting Covenant, and (4) A Covenant of Circumcision. When we receive Christ as our Saviour, we receive a New Heart; therefore, our old heart must be circumcised. This Message covers the stature of Circumcision, which is: (1) Suffering and pain, (2) Humiliating, (3) Self-denial, and (4) Separating. Through Israel’s circumcision in the natural realm, God portrayed the things that He wants to do for us in the spiritual realm.
Finally, this lesson gives Abraham’s Fourfold Separation: (2) From His Kindred, (2) From Lot, (3) From Ishmael, and (4) from Isaac. God did not bring all four separations at one time. God separates from us only as He reveals Himself to us. As He reveals Himself to us, we gain power, strength, knowledge, and growth of surrender and subjection. Then, we are ready for the separation
