The text for this sermon is Hebrews, chapter 7, which reveals that Melchisedec, Who met with Abraham when he returned from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, was none other than the Lord Jesus Himself. The description of this Priest could fit no one other than the Lord. There are two Priesthoods, the Levitical Priesthood from which came Aaron and the Everlasting Heavenly Melchisedec Priesthood from which came the Lord Jesus Christ. The Levitical order, the Aaronic order, was an earthly order and has been done away with. This lesson gives some more mysteries concerning the Everlasting Covenant from Genesis, chapter 17, and the Everlasting Hills and the Everlasting Mountains from Genesis, chapter 49, and Habakkuk, chapter 3.
This lesson also covers the ministry of the Holy Ghost, which is to lift up and to magnify Jesus. The Holy Ghost Dove has no gall or bitterness. Neither does He have claws, spurs, or a beak with which to defend Himself. His only means of defense are His Wings. When you mistreat Him and grieve Him and do not yield to Him, He just uses His Wings and takes flight. This lesson gives the stature of Prayer through the Holy Ghost: (1) Speaking in Tongues, (2) Intercession in Tongues, (3) Travail in Prayer, and (4) Unknown Tongue. It also gives the stature of Jesus’ Humility: (1) To Serve, (2) To Ride, (3) to Bear, and (4) To Die.
