Our text is taken from the Books of Genesis, chapters 11, 14, and 15 and Acts 2, 8, 9, 19, and 22. This lesson reviews how God called Abraham to leave his country and relatives and to go to a land that God would show him. It reveals the real reason that Abram had to separate from his nephew, Lot, which was because Lot would have been Abram’s heir, and he had to get rid of anything that would hinder the coming forth of the supernatural Seed through Isaac.
This message reviews the first two revelations of the LORD that God rewarded Abram with after he had separated from Lot, which were: (1) The LORD Jehovah and (2) The Most High God Realm, El El-yone, Possessor of Heaven and Earth. In the Old Testament, God revealed Himself to the House of Israel through Hebrew names just as He reveals Himself unto us in the New Testament through the Name Jesus. The Godhead is made up of three phases: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, as was manifested in the Mosaic Tabernacle. The Tabernacle pictured the Son; the Cloud that overshadowed the Tabernacle pictured the Spirit, and the Glory hidden within the Cloud pictured the Father. Through the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, God works in everything. Even though He is separate, He is still One. This lesson shows that the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost in which Jesus commanded us to be baptized is the LORD Jesus Christ, as was demonstrated by the statue of witnesses in the Book of Acts: (1) Peter, (2) Philip, (3) Ananias, and (4) Paul.
In Genesis 15:3-18, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost entered into a covenant relationship with Abram. Abram believed in the LORD, and it was counted to him for righteousness. God told Abraham to offer a sacrifice that \pictured Jesus, the Cross, the Sacrifice of the Blood and the Body of the Lord Jesus, which he did. God showed Abram what sacrifice to make; however, it was Abram’s business to keep the birds off the sacrifice. God has given us the Sacrifice; however, it is our business to keep the Devil’s birds of doubt, accusation, and unbelief off the Sacrifice until God completes His covenant with us.
