The text for this lesson is Daniel, chapter 7, in which the LORD revealed to the Prophet Daniel the stature of Gentile power, which consisted of four kingdoms that were pictured by beasts: (1) The Lion Pictured the Babylonian Kingdom, (2) The Bear Pictured the Medes and Persians, (3) The Leopard Pictured the Greek Kingdom, and (4) Iron Pictured the Roman Empire. This image of Gentile power has already come to pass. There is one thing that the Prophet Daniel saw that still is lacking, and that is for one to stand up who will bear the entire image, and he is the Antichrist. He will have the full stature of Satan. These other beasts had only a portion of it; however, this Antichrist, who will stand up out of these ten kingdoms in the last days, will have the whole image of Satan—seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy (Revelation 13:1). The beast was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority (Revelation 13:2). There is the full stature of the Dragon. In Daniel, God used animals to describe these different kingdoms. In Revelation, we see them stand up in their full stature.
