Hosea, chapters one and 2, gives the vision and Prophecy that the LORD gave the Prophet Hosea concerning His Judgment of Israel who had forsaken Him. God raised up Jezreel, the son of the Prophet Hosea, to preach a message unto his brethren and to the leaders of the people. This lesson covers the stature of Jezreel’s message: (1) The Judgment of the Midianites and the Amalekites in Jezreel (Judges 7:19-Judges 8:12), (2) The Judgment of King Saul in Jezreel (First Samuel 31:6), (3) The Judgment of King Ahab, His House, and Jezebel in Jezreel (Second Kings 10:11), and (4) The Judgment of Jehu in Jezreel (Hosea 1:4). It gives the stature of possession and requirements for Gideon’s army, the stature of their obedience, the stature of the four great sins in King Saul’s life, the stature of King Ahab’s sins, and the stature of Jezebel’s sins.
Today, we are living in the same place that Israel lived when she was in the wilderness. She was dry and barren, and God raised up Jezreel, the son of Hosea, to take the message of His Judgment to the people and to the leaders of the people. We have a responsibility to apply this message and to get this message out to others. It is this message that will prepare people for the LORD’s Coming. If they do not begin to judge their own lives and hearts and to allow God’s Word and the Holy Ghost to judge them, they will not be ready for the LORD’s Coming.
