This message introduces our study of the section of Jesus’ Spiritual Tabernacle that belongs to the head realm and covers the first Beatitude or Blessed: “Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake” (Matthew 5:11). There are God’s Judgments and His Covenants. The blesseds are God’s Judgments. Judgment means verdict. Good or bad, it is a verdict from God. A covenant speaks of a marriage union relationship, and we will never enter into that covenant relationship with God until we are willing to accept His Judgments. The word blessed means happy. Jesus said that the state of our being reviled and persecuted is the most wonderful state in which for us to be. Jesus was reviled and persecuted, and when we walk in His Footsteps, we cannot escape being reviled and persecuted, too. God uses our situations of being reviled and persecuted for the crucifixion of our flesh; however, we cannot think that persecution is blessed until we have begun to have the Mind of Christ and to see this thing as God sees it. If we will accept God’s Judgments, Christ promised us a stature of Covenant Relationship (Matthew 5:12): (1) Rejoicing, (2) Gladness, (3) Great Reward in Heaven, and (4) Fellowship. If we will receive God’s Verdicts, God will give us the Harp of Humility, and we can play a song of rejoicing and praise on the strings of our heart. God wants to take the ten strings of pride out of our heart and to string us up with the Harp of Humility so that regardless of what revilings and persecution come across our pathway, we will pluck on our Harp, and all that will go out will be praises unto God for the suffering that we go through for Jesus.

This lesson also covers the stature of Jesus’ instructions concerning our attitude during persecution: (1) We are to Flee, (2) We are to Forgive, (3) We are to Preach, and (4) We are to Shake Off the Dust of Rejection from our Feet.
