This lesson begins with teaching from First Samuel 14:4,5. Then, it covers the thirteen things that the Apostle John revealed concerning the Resurrected Christ in Revelation 1:9-18: (1) His Voice can be seen. John saw what Jesus Christ—the Word—spoke. We see the Word when it is made real in our soul. (2) John turned to see His Voice, which was as of a Trumpet. We must turn from ourselves unto the LORD if we want to see the Trumpet of God’s Word, and before we can go anywhere or do anything, we must hear and see the blast of God’s Words! (3) John saw the Son of Man clothed with a garment down to the foot. Although He was the Resurrected Christ, He bore the marks of crucifixion in His Body, and He wore the Garment of the High Priest. (4) He was girded with a Golden Girdle about the paps or breasts, which speaks of His ministry of love. Everything in Him was brought under His Girdle of Humility Love, so He did not draw back from those people who despitefully used Him. (5) His Head was white like wool, which speaks of His Purity. His thoughts were pure. (6) His Hairs were white like wool, which speaks of His pure maturity. (7) His Eyes were as a flame of Fire, which speaks of discernment and judgment of the wood, hay, and stubble in our own flesh. (8) His Feet were like unto Fine Brass, which speaks of Judgment. His Feet will trample and burn out the thorns and thistles in the garden of our heart and leave Seeds of Truth so that we can see how to go deeper and higher in His Spiritual Stature. (9) His Voice was as the sound of many waters. John’s soul heard the revelation of the Word, which came down like many waters, which is how God crushes out our self-life and brings in more of His wonderful Life. (10) In His Right Hand were seven stars, which spoke of the angels, lights, or ministers of the seven Churches. We must shine with the Crucified Christ’s Light of Humility in order for us to show others His Way. He had power to set up and to take down the Light of their ministry. (11) Out of His Mouth went a sharp two-edged Sword. In the Song of Solomon, the Bride’s lips were scarlet. She had been kissed with the kisses of His Mouth which had the sharp two-edged Sword coming out that cuts off whatever needs to be cut. (12) His Countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. When we are in perfect union with Jesus Christ, there are no shadows of fear, doubt, or unbelief between us because His Countenance shines upon us as the noonday sun. (13) He revealed Himself in the full stature of the Cross. He said: (1) I Am He that Liveth, (2) I Was Dead, (3) I Am Alive For Evermore, and (4) I have the Keys of Hell and of Death. In so many words, He said, “I lived in the Flesh; I died; I was resurrected and live for evermore, and I have the keys of Hell and Death.” In order for Him to unlock the revelations of His Word to us so that we may grow up in Him and accept into our heart His humble Mind and Will and be faithful and obedient to all the Truth of His Word, we must drink of His cup of suffering in Death and in Hell. We must join ourselves in a Oneness of relationship to Him, as the Apostle Paul said, “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead” (Philippians 3:10,11).
