This message continues our study of the section of Jesus’ Spiritual Tabernacle that belongs to the Head realm. It reviews five of thirteen things that Jesus instructed us to do first in our seeking the Kingdom. Jesus said: (1) First, be reconciled to your brother; then, offer your gift (Matthew 5:24), (2) First, cast out the beam in your own eye before helping your brother remove the mote in his eye (Matthew 7:5), (3) First, bind the strong man in his house before spoiling his goods (Matthew 12:29), (4) First, the tares are separated; then, the wheat (Matthew 13:30), and (5) First, make clean the inside of the cup so that the outside will be clean also (Matthew 23:26).
Then, this lesson covers four more things that Jesus said that we are to do first. He said: (6) Seek ye first the kingdom of God [which is within you], and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). In seeking the Kingdom of God, you must humble yourself and receive first the blade of revelation of God’s Word; then, you can receive the ear, and after that, the full ear (Mark 4:28), (7) Keep the first Commandment, which is to love the LORD thy God with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). When you truly love Him this way, you have great peace and nothing offends you (Psalm 119:165), (8) First, count the cost before you begin to build upon your spiritual foundation of Blood, Fire, and Water. Are you willing to suffer the reproaches of Christ rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season? Are you willing and determined to make the sacrifices that are necessary to complete your spiritual building according to God’s Will? If you build according to your own will, you will have only wood, hay, and stubble, which will be tried in God’s Fire at the Judgment Seat of Christ and will be burned up. However, if you crucify your flesh, you can build with the Gold, Silver, and Precious Stones of God’s Will—His Nature and His Word. Then, (9) First, consult with God rather than with your own flesh or anyone else’s flesh when you meet your enemy, who appears to outnumber you, in the Way (Luke 14:31). You must go to the Laver and let the LORD wash out a lot of your reasoning that says, “I cannot make it.” When you meet your flesh and the Devil, you can stand through Christ Who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). You stand with Someone Who has never lost a battle. “[G]reater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (First John 4:4). There is renewing Power in this Water in the Laver of God’s Word, and every time that you suffer for Jesus, God has more Glory for you according to Second Corinthians 3:18, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
